Hello, world! Just wanted to crank up my status, so I had to find a forum and topic nobody ever reads. This seems to be the perfect hide-out. Sadly this won't raise my seti status though. Älkää hyvät ihmiset lukeko näitä viestejä, eihän näissä ole mitään päätä eikä häntää! Oh, I forgot to say this is _my_ first post in _this_ forum. Hi again! I wanted to be the first one to post here in August, so here goes! If I'm not banned from this thread I could continue using this the place to crank up my ego... But you would like it, wouldn't ya? I know I would! If you (Adrian) read this, please comment! After all, this is such a significant topic... Seriously :| IP: Logged |

It must be hard being a moderator, but you have to have some work as well, don't ya? Maybe I can hold myself back a bit... IP: Logged |

Hmmm... it could be dangerous to give me a soapbox... I'll just get up on it and start preaching... About what?, you ask? I really have no idea. I will attempt to hold back from bothering you all with my meritless ideology. IP: Logged |

For the sake of the topic, hi again! Methinks there is enough space for one egoist/preacher from every continent (plus the moderator of course) on this topic, so welcome Jamerson! You can speak on behalf of the Americans, I'll represent Europe. I think everyone accepts that, because we're the only ones stupid/clever enough to post in to this topic. Sadly none of the other A-continents are represented... IP: Logged |

Way to go akuma! It's good to think big issues a bit. You made the right decision! What comes to world domination, Microsoft has no exclusive rights to it and is not the only one doing it. Mad scientists have discovered it before Microsoft. Besides, it's not world domination what we want, but topic domination. But if we're successful in this, we might take a step further... PS. The computer halted unexpectedly while writing this making me to start all over again, so these are not necessarily the exact thoughts I had in mind at the first time... PPS. Posting is very awkward right now, because redirection doesn't work. I had to 'hack' the page IP: Logged |

Hey Akma, your not the only one here from Europe, some of us are in the UK (I mean me of course ...). I think I like bizarre topics anywho. (This is going to get confusing with people called Akma and akuma isnt it?) IP: Logged |

I think Akma wants main-land europe for himself. Shall we split the UK between us? I'm in Swansea at the moment, so if I take Wales..... Where are you Adrian? England? Just need reps for Scotland and N.Ireland now....... IP: Logged |

LOL!! This is quite the interesting Post! Well, I guess someone's gotta rep the US, although I don't want anything from the west coast (maybe we can have AMD run the show there? Torture the Intel Execs publicly or something ;-) I'll take the northeastern part of the U.S. [This message has been edited by PsyKo (edited August 04, 1999).] IP: Logged |

Darn! This is getting out of hands... But this flood of messages also prooves that the big Bill isn't the only one who wants to rule the world (or anything to that matter). This topic was so dead when I first posted here that I thought there would be room for a couple of persons here, but now every member posts here. It seems that if you don't post here, you're nothing All this also prooves how intelligent the people using/fancing 3DNow! technology is. No iNTEL Inside® forum could gather the best and brightest computer users around the world to write their opinions about the topic 'Hi'. What comes to our little divide and conquer game, the idea was that there would be just one envoy per continent to keep things simple, but soon we'll have an envoy from every state/country of the world. It seems that so much people is interested in world domination that I should found an organisation that would give out lordships over states/countries just like they do with Internet domains. What say you my knights? Claim your lands, but remember, anything that's not claimed, is mine! And, the Euro countries are not available... PS. Just wonder how long I can keep writing here, soon (if not already) this will be the most active topic in the whole BB and that might give a wrong idea what this BB is about. IP: Logged |

What is a seattle? Is it something to eat? Though I get seattle all over my face at work and home every day, I have to say that it is just a tiny bit and piece of the planet. We are on a far greater mission here! We're not micro sovereigns. 640k's of the planet is not enough, we want the whole place, don't we? So seattle is for anybody to have, anybody. PS. It seems that all the (great) people say something stupid, so here goes (for the history records): Nobody will ever need a personal teleporter. IP: Logged |

that would have to be a big billboard to see from earth. wouldn't it be easier to use explosives to carve 3dnow into the light side. the dark side can be left for intel advertisment. we can't be totally unfair. [This message has been edited by akuma (edited August 05, 1999).] IP: Logged |

I claim the midwest, such that I can represent my homeland of Illinois. And throw in Saturn for me, too. I like the rings, and then I can rename. Who named the planet after a CAR anyways? Ewww, can I have Italy too? That way my Latin can go to some use... Not a whole lot, but Italian is just Latin with a bad accent... Well, Wales is mine. I stake my claim to everything there. (Well, everything except for the sheep. I think the dodgy farmers with velcro gloves and worrying smiles laid claim to them many years ago). Do ya reckon every response on this topic should now end on a quote that is bound to be remembered for all the wrong reasons in the future, then? (like the teleporter one). Then I reckon this Internet thing'll never take off..... IP: Logged |

Yes, Intel is Satan in a big 200 billion dollar semiconductor disguise! arrrrgh! Speaking of Intel, I wonder how they'll handle the "Athlon Family" of processors? Now that they can't charge an extra 200 bucks just for a teeny-tiny bit more cache running at full clock, and Merced seeming to be dead in the water (who needs Merced when you can look to Elbrus for an ass-kicker of a 64 bit processor), and the geriatric P6 core being extended over and over again, I mean, how long do they think people will wait for Wilamette? Coppermine, while it is a moderate improvement over existing PeeThrees, is nothing new, it's kinda like they merged a Celeron (or should I say a K6-III) with the P3 and shrank it in the wash a few Microns. Seriously, what's the big deal? All those Intel Ass-kissing morons will think it's the greatest thing since pay toilets and pay the $1200 for it, or whatever ridiculous price Chipzilla decides to tack on it. *Takes Deep Breath* Okay, I'm done ranting! Back to your regularly scheduled program. IP: Logged |

As long as AMD is around, Intel won't be able to get away with completely overcharging customers. And AMD won't go away. Even if they eventually are in bad financial distress (I doubt this happening), they're too big to die, another company would buy AMD. And slowly as Intel's profits shrink, so will their cash reserves. And (in my utopian world, at least) a balance is acheived between all four major chip manufacturers, with no one controlling standards or price. On the devil note, I didn't realize Intel was controlled by my English teacher? [This message has been edited by Jamerson (edited August 06, 1999).] IP: Logged |
