I got a rather annyoing problem with my computer: it reboots now and then but only when I'm online. The system is an Athlon 700@770, Epox 7KXA, 256MB RAM (running at 100MHz), Voodoo3, Quantum disks, Win2000, IE5 (or whatever comes with Win2000). Anyone with an idea as to why it does that??
I don't think it's because it's OC'ed because it's stable as a rock when I'm not online...

Sorry I don't know what it could be... But I was just wondering how you got it clocked to 770?

as for the 770Mhz.. FSB from 100 to 110 perhaps??

peraphs you should set it to normal clock and still see if it happens. perhaps there is some (win2000) code that gets called when online that doesn't like the overclock.

I just changed the FSB to 110MHz to get it running at 770MHz. I'm hope to get it running at 805MHz (115MHz FSB) but Win2000 doesn't like it...it just comes with a message about ntkrnl.exe (or something like that) is missing I know the CPU will do 805MHz but I have to convince the rest of the system to come along Anyways I'm trying running the CPU at 700MHz right now to see if it's the OC. I'll post later again when I find out how it's going...

Crap! It looks like it was because it was OC'ed. I think it was my PC100 RAM there couldn't handle running at 110MHz After I took that stick out there haven't been any problems.
