Jefe Wish I had an Athlon |

Alright guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a bios page, and I think my problems may have something to do with my current settings. I got an Athlon 700, 128 ram (pc133), gigabyte 7-vm motherboard, voodoo 3 3000, Via pci audio controller(what came with comp). I am running under Win 98. I have all the latest drivers for each of these. The thing is my computer freezes during almost any game I play. It happens at random times, but usually after between 15-30 minutes. Sometimes I can play for 1 hour, but then eventually it will just kick me to windows, or it will say there was a page default error. I have no clue where to start with this. All my windows programs usually run completely fine and don't crash, it just seems to be games. I've pasted one of the popus errors right below to maybe give an indication of what the problem may be. Any help would be appreciated, thanks ahead of time. General Protection fault! Congrats, you run Unreal Tournament, the most fickle bitch on the market. Make sure your AGP drivers are up to date, no fast writes are on etc. When in doubt, reinstall the game, that fixed it for me once. IP: Logged |
