I'll head off to GF after I've completed the 5000th wu for S@H IP: Logged |

Armin I saw your "Call to arms" statement on 3dnow's main page, but I'm blasting SETI packets out every 5 hours on my 900 MHz TBird now. Isn't the Gamma Flux project for that Swedish scientist doing research on radiation? I'd rather look for ET, but I guess I can start doing some DCypher.Net Gamma Flux for 3dnow. To tell you the truth, I loaded it on September 2, and so far have only done about 700 WU since then. I just like looking for ET more This thing jams on Gamma Flux now though - with the ramdisk in Windows 98se: 27,000 WU/sec in Gamma Flux. Has anyone run any Gamma Flux benches with the new clock multiplier 1.2 GHz TBird and PC2100 DDR memory? From the SpecFP benches looks like DDR memory and TBird really complement each other. I want to know what the new clock TBird with PC2100 DDR memory does for Gamma Flux. Are we at or past Alpha processors FPU performance yet? Cruncher IP: Logged |

TBird 1200 does about 35,000 rays/second. Since the project doesn't require significant amounts of memory bandwidth, DDR doesn't accelerate it. P4-1500, for comparision, does 13,300 rays/second. IP: Logged |
