Sure, if you think it will help. I'm not down with client 2.0 at all. I can't see how they can want to DOUBLE processing time and NOT put any optimizations in it. Their excuse is that they don't want to optimize for everyone. Well, they wouldn't really have to because i'm sure someone who reads www.3dnow.org would do it for them. They won't allow that though. It's not really about them not wanting to optimize. It's about their sucky servers. Yeah, they are getting the hell kicked out of them, but making our computers work longer than is necessary just becuuse they won't upgrade their servers is lame. For example: Today I have been trying to grab two more WU to process...can't do it because I time out trying to get to the seti server. IP: Logged |

Jayden, I understand your feelings, but there is one thing - you mentioned that you could not get more WU's because of their server. This is probably correct, but why dont you set your system up to process 2 or 3 WU's BEFORE trying to connect to the server - it minimises the chance of problems I have 4 WU's on my AMD, and 3 on the p200. I can go 4 days without connecting, but "top up" manually whenever I'm online. I was on yesterday and tried to get more WU's without any luck. I'll try again today before I start to get worried... I have had NO downtime since the project started with the exception of problems with my local PC and lightning in the area - no time that can be blamed on Berkeley or their servers.
