casc...... im always tweaking. i love to sqeeze another mhz from a cpu, or reduce memory consumption. its killing me not doing any fragin though. looks like im going to have to break down and build a gaming machine, lol

Gees, I think we should change the listing from number of WU completed to time spent - that would move me from 17th to about 8th, because......

I JUST HIT THE ONE YEAR MARK!!!!!

Grin - well you could always get another PC :-)

I actually have 2, but get a LOT of WU's done at work too - Often in groups of 10 or more every 2 days (I have to bring them home to upload), so it's not abnormal to see my stats jump up by 8 or more a day.

I just wish I could get my average time down - hey what about a tshirt for the person in the top 20 with the HIGHEST average time per WU :-)

hey does anyone know what a tandy 1000 is? a lady at work needed some money real bad, had a new tandy 1000 still in the box, 2 color monitors, a 386 sx, a couple keyboards, ect.
she wanted 20 bucks, heck i offered just give her the 20 bucks, but she insisted i take this stuff for the money, so i loaded the car, brought the junk home. well the old tandy booted to dos just fine, but theres no hardrive, and im not about to swap disks everytime i want to do something. hehe im just curious what cpu is in there. i got a 2 year old very interested in my computers, i think i`ll let him bang on that keyboard for a while. any oldtimers want it for old times sake?

Geez, put that thing back in the box and in a safe place, it will be worth a nice lump of money in a couple years, especially if it is mint condition.

You could try selling it on eBay right now and share the proceeds with that lady if you feel generous. I'd put the starting bid for it at $1000

Go to www.radioshack.com and do a search for the online manuals...I did so out of curiosity and it seems that you have gotten yourself a nice 8086 machine

Hey fredro,

instead of building a gaming system you decided to buy one all boxed up, let us know what fps you get playing Pong on there.

Voriax, next year? When the thing finishes a unit, the ETs will already be here

Oh, Pong... Remember how many general protection faults did you get playing that?

ahhhh heck, i can hardly remember any dos commands anymore. had a hard enough time entering the time and date. i am however thinking of making a pentium60mhz out of the 386 i got from her. i think that would make a good websurfer.
