Don't worry, they are working in the name of AMD! They will be running at least 8-12 hours during the weekdays and just a little bit on the weekends. Psycho Killa Follower of Athlon	posted April 19, 2000 00:37 I was mistaken, the Pee3s are 500s not 550s. They are taking about 10-12 hours to complete unit using the GUI program. Franklin A. Childers Follower of Athlon	posted April 19, 2000 17:59 Psycho Killa hope you can get them down to 8 hours per unit. At work I have a few P2-400 running command line and doing 8.5 hours. I run setispy in the start up and have it hide the client, If someone comes along and turns off setisyp no biggy seti is still running hidden. I did find that on the p2s at work that the computer group did not even activate L2 cache so I helped them out in that area, helped a lot also turned off video caching and bios caching. Also could someone post a link for the TeamSETI program (the one to keep track of Units). I want to know how many units I am getting per day. Childers Follower of Athlon	posted April 20, 2000 19:45 Psycho Killa, I see that wl6538 has posted the links, Sorry you have to use the GUI but if you must I have found the the screen saver can cause some problems and my way around the screensaver wat to install seti on one machine then remane the setixxxxx.exe to a short name like seti202.exe and copy it to a floppy then UNINSTALL seti@home then make a dir for seti and copy the short named seti program to the new dir and run it answer the quesions and add a shortcut to the all users profile startup. -Frank IP: Logged

I let you know what the P-III 550's do after this weekend. I just built three of them today, and will have SETI running on them this weekend. IP: Logged

Remember I have to use the GUI and right now they are still running 1.0x, a few of them have 2.0x but not many. -PK We are getting in another 40 Pee3 500s and moving 16 P2 350s into the offices as well, if I can get those running SETI... the sky is the limit. ------------------ Dogs are better than Cats. Psycho Killa Follower of Athlon	posted May 01, 2000 11:41 Its not that I can't run it its that I can't get to all of the PCs at once. They are in a different location that where I normally work. So for me to get to them and install 2.04 on em all would take awhile. I am working on it slowly. And we just got 40 more Pee3 500s in not to long ago. I helped setup 17 more on Friday and 3 more today. I have already installed SETI on a few of them.
